Tempsens Polska temperature calibration laboratory in Mikołów, Poland
Temperature calibration: pyrometers, thermocouples and Pt100 sensors
Calibration of temperature measuring instruments in our laboratory up to 1600 °C, and on site at your plant up to 1100 °C. Send us your instrument list and we will reply with the scope and a quote.

Temperature calibration ranges
From -30 to 1600 °C, depending on the instrument type.
Electrical thermometers, data loggers and transmitters with sensors are calibrated up to 1600 °C, depending on the instrument range. The thermocouple range depends on its type and permissible operating temperature. Calibration points are confirmed in the quotation.
Planned laboratory CMC*
CMC is the smallest measurement uncertainty the laboratory can achieve when calibrating within a given range.
- Radiation thermometry
- 1.8...5.0 °C
- Thermocouples
- from 0.8 °C
- RTD sensors
- from 0.05 °C
- Electrical thermometers
- from 0.05 °C
* Preliminary values, depending on the range and measurement point. To be confirmed during the PCA assessment.
Temperature calibration laboratory in Mikołów
Calibration shows how the reading of an instrument relates to the reference value. Calibration points are set according to the customer's requirements. If we know the process, working range or conditions of use, we can also suggest the points that best match the actual application.
Instruments can be delivered to our laboratory or, at the customer's request, calibrated directly at the customer's plant. Results, together with the measurement uncertainty, are documented in a calibration certificate.
- Location
- ul. Ludwika Waryńskiego 63, Mikołów, Poland. Instruments can be delivered in person or shipped.
- Document
- Calibration certificate, on request also in English or German.
- Lead time
- Agreed in the quotation. Urgent service within 5 days or express service within 2 working days is available.
- Industries
- Metals, heat treatment, glass, ceramics, automotive, food, refrigeration and pharmaceuticals.
- Accreditation
- Currently not accredited by PCA. Preparations under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 are in progress.
On-site calibration at your plant
We bring portable reference equipment and perform the measurements next to your instruments. The visit is planned on the basis of your instrument list, so the calibration points and reading method are agreed before we arrive.

What we calibrate on site
- pyrometers, thermal cameras and line scanners
- electrical thermometers, thermocouples and RTD sensors
- data loggers, transmitters, controllers and indicators as a measuring chain with sensor
When on-site calibration makes sense
- the instrument is installed and difficult to ship
- there are many instruments to calibrate at the plant
- you want all calibrations in a single schedule
What to prepare before the visit
Instrument models and quantities, temperature points, reading method, plant address and preferred date. Travel is charged according to location.
Thermal profiling of furnaces and TUS (Temperature Uniformity Survey)
Let's see what really happens in your furnace
The Tempsens multi-channel temperature profiling system measures temperature in the real process. Thermocouples placed on the product, the load or in the furnace working zone record the temperature throughout the cycle, while the data logger, protected by a thermal barrier, travels through the furnace together with the product.
What furnace temperature profiling shows
- the actual temperature of the product and load
- temperature uniformity in the furnace
- heating and soaking times
- heating and cooling rates
- overheated or underheated zones
- process repeatability
Temperature uniformity surveys can be carried out based on the requirements of AMS2750 for temperature control and uniformity in industrial heat treatment processes.
Check your processDescribe your furnace and process temperature, and we will propose the scope of measurement.
Ask about a furnace surveyWhich temperature measuring instruments we calibrate
We calibrate a wide range of temperature measuring instruments: from pyrometers and thermal cameras to RTD sensors, thermocouples and complete measuring chains. Services are provided in our laboratory and, for selected instruments, directly at the customer's site.

Frequently asked questions about calibration
What is the difference between calibration and legal verification?
Calibration establishes the relationship between the instrument reading and the reference value and results in a calibration certificate. Legal verification applies to instruments subject to legal metrological control and is carried out by authorised bodies.
Can a pyrometer be calibrated without shipping it?
Yes. On site we calibrate pyrometers, cameras and scanners up to 1100 °C. Points above this temperature, up to 1600 °C, are calibrated in our laboratory.
What do you need for a quotation?
Instrument type and model, number of instruments or channels, temperature points, reading or signal type, location and expected date.
Is the laboratory accredited by PCA?
Not yet. We are preparing for accreditation under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
What are TUS and furnace thermal profiling?
TUS (Temperature Uniformity Survey) measures temperature uniformity in the furnace working zone. Thermal profiling shows the temperature of the product and load throughout the process cycle. Surveys can be carried out based on the requirements of AMS2750.
How long does calibration take?
The lead time is given in the quotation. Urgent service within 5 working days or express service within 2 working days is available, subject to confirmation.
